Long time no see
Här kommer äntligen en ny update om projektarbetet!
Jag har haft en del strul med bloggen nu under våren på grund av att jag raderade en gammal mailadress som jag trodde att jag inte hade någon användning för längre.. men tydligen hade jag registrerat bloggen med den adressen och därför kunde jag inte komma in här och skriva på den. Men jag ringde blogg-supporten och allting har nu (äntligen) löst sig!
Vad som hänt under våren är att John och jag har arbetat så gott som det går med att spela in alla låtar, vilket vi i princip är klara med nu. Det enda som återstår är den grafiska biten, alltså albumdesignen och framsidan. Imorgon kommer John hit och då ska vi fixa klart hela designen och fortsätta mastringen av låtarna. Ska bli kul att få visa upp det färdiga arbetet snart!

Busy, busy, busy
Nu är Julen snart på ingång men innan dess ska vi ha hunnit göra klart minst en låt som sedan ska visas på delredovisningen. Det har gått segt ett litet tag för John och mig. Vi har helt enkelt inte haft tid för att repa och spåna på nya idéér men förhoppningsvis ska vi börja spela in lite mer under de kommande veckorna innan jullovet :)
Annars känns det som att projektet rullat på ganska bra. Kan hända att jag börjar pilla lite med designen på albumet under jullovet.. Vi får se helt enkelt.

Förvänta er alltså inte ännu en utspädning av COD-serien utan ett spel med en spännande originalitet som jag tror att du antingen kommer tycka är ett briljant drag av utvecklarna eller ett spel lika spännande som morfars fintrimmade näshår.

Ett lidande i 15kb/sek
Att ha suttit framför datorn 3 dagar i rad i väntan på att nya medal of honor ska tankas hem är (jag vet, hyfsad no-lifing) men i mitt fall outhärdligt! :( Speciellt när man rådiggar krigsspel som jag gör. Och som om inte det vore nog så är det fortfarande 8 dagar kvar tills min kära longboard anländer till mitt slott. Livet är bäst. Ät gurka.

Idag har John visat mig två samples som vi ska jobba på. De låter riktigt bra så lite pepp blir man allt :)

Bakgrund:
Både jag och John är musiker och delar även till viss del samma musiksmak, därför kom vi båda på idén att spela in ett album. Sedan valde vi att rikta in oss på genrerna rock och ambient. Rock för att det är den genre vi känner oss mest hemma i musikermässigt, där vi känner att vi har en stabil grund att bygga albumet på. Ambient valde vi för att det bidrar till en drömmande och atmosfärisk känsla.
Syfte, mål och problemformulering:
Vi ska kort och gott spela in en skiva. Vi har siktat mot ungefär 5-6 låtar med varierande längd. Vi ska även göra artwork till albumomslaget och insidan av albumet i photoshop. Då använder vi oss av fotade bilder som passar stämningen på skivan.
Vi ska även inkludera en liten berättelse i albumet som hör ihop med låtarna. Berättelsen ska, precis som musiken, vara drömlik, atmosfärisk och stämningsfylld. I berättelsen drömmer en man om olika scener/händelser och varje scen representeras av en låt. Albumet börjar med att mannen somnar och under sista låten vaknar mannen upp.
Genomförande:
Vi spelar in gitarr, trummor, bas och elpiano via ett inspelningsprogram i datorn. Sedan kommer vi att använda oss av mjukvarusynthar och keyboards för att skapa ett bredare sound och få till ambientkänslan.
Vi ska även fota bilder till omslaget som vi redigerar i photoshop.
Vi ska skriva berättelsen i Word och sedan lägga in texten tillsammans med bilderna i Indesign.
Vi ska också bränna ut ca 20-30 skivor.
Presentation:
Ett release-party för vårt album på skolan där vi eventuellt säljer skivorna.
Resurser:
Det enda materialet vi lägger pengar på är cd-skivor. Allt annat finns redan tillgängligt.

Nu är man alltså 18 år.. känns skumt. men ändå inte. Man känner sig inte särskilt "myndig" eller så men samtidigt så känner man att nu börjar mitt liv på allvar. I like it :)
Har förövrigt fått en extern hårddisk: LaCie desktop HDD 1 TB kommer bli otroligt användbar!
Ny mus har man investerat i också: Ace Edge 3200 Rekommenderar denna mus starkt (för er som är intresserade) väl värd sina pengar!

Har inte haft någon lust att skriva i bloggen på ett tag nu :/ vet inte varför riktigt, man har väl sina perioder antar jag. Men vi får väl se när jag får inspiration igen =) kommer alltså inte stänga ner min blogg.
